Clarinettist Simon Lopez is the winner of the 8th edition of Prodiges, the popular annual French TV competition for young classical musicians.

Recorded with the Orchestre Victor Hugo Franche-Comté under Jean-François Verdier.

A great mix of popular repertoire, including pieces from Piazzolla’s Libertango and Oblivion; “Der Hölle Rache”, the Queen of the Night aria, from Mozart’s Die Zauberflöte; “Una furtiva lagrima” from Donizetti’s L'elisir d'amore; and many more
