The vocal ensemble Beauty Farm invites us on a journey of discovery with little-known masterpieces of the 15th century that show how amazingly full music for only three voices can sound.

While Johannes Tinctoris (c. 1435-1511) is known today primarily as an renaissance music theorist and composer, we know very little about the composer Barbingant. His Missa Terriblement is presented here in a world premiere recording. Based on the chanson of the same name, Barbingant - uniquely in music history - wove this chanson into all three voices of the mass.

Beauty Farmwas founded 2014 by Markus Muntean and Bernhard Trebuch. Consisting of three vocalists, Beauty Farm focuses on the Franco-Flemish polyphony of the renaissance. The international ensemble is based in the carthusian monastery at Mauerbach (Austria).
