This new release from KAIROS presents selected works of Latin American composer, Cergio Prudencio, performed by Colombian, Canada-based pianist Daniel Áñez.

Prudencio is one of the most important composers in Latin America. In his works for piano, there is a predominant search for melody expressive, sincere, and completely unchained. It is long overdue that the widely unknown music of South America becomes part of our European concert repertoire, and this album makes a strong case for it. Daniel Áñez and Cergio Prudencio have worked in collaboration for many years. Áñez now presents a comprehensive selection of his piano works written between 1994 and 2021.
