The versatile and distinguished soloists Elwira Sliwkiewicz-Cisak (accordion) and Jakub Niedoborek (guitar) together with the Silesian Chamber Players ensemble under the watchful baton of Piotr Wijatkowski, are gifted with exceptional stage charisma and prove that music inspired by tango is able to stimulate the imagination of new generations of composers and performers.

Albert Hamann, Maximo Diego Pujol, Richard Galliano are the names of composers for whom the fascination with Astor Piazzolla's music played an important role in their output. Although the album does not include any piece by the tango master, his spirit patronizes each of the recorded compositions: the 'Azanca' Suite, which evokes Piazzolla's double concerto Hommage a Liege with its cast, the 'Buenos Aires' Suite, which is a musical portrait of the Argentine capital's districts, so deeply rooted in the tango tradition and the birthplace of the Argentinian bandoneonist, as well as in the lively third movement of the 'Opale' Concerto.
