The most beautiful Gregorian melodies of the most important liturgical moments of hte year were provided with a challenging arrangement for mixed voices by Erik Van Nevel. He has scrupulously maintained the melodic and rhythmic form of the original lines; they appear always in one of the four voices on this new recording.

The well known Gregorian melodies from, among others, Dies Irae, In Paradism, Gaudeamus and Ave Maria are all include in the collection.

Currende's concert programmes mainly include music from the 16th to 18th centuries but occasionally the ensemble adds in Gregorian chant pieces to add texture to their live performances.

This new recording features those pieces uniquely in one collection.
