About

'Change' combines a variety of organ works for mezzo-soprano and organ. The 17 diverse works were composed by Otfried Bsing and are made to sound by Martin Schmeding on the organ and Cosima Bsing as mezzo-soprano. Otfried Bsing, born in 1955 in Delmenhorst, is a composer and music theorist. The range of Bsing's works extends from quasi-improvisatory freedom to design principles that he himself has characterised as "selective serial technique", "material counterpoint", or "spectral synthesis". They encompass virtually all genres of work. His oeuvre ranges from experimental piano music to organ and chamber music and song cycles to the chamber opera 'Picnic in the Field' (after Fernando Arrabal), the opera "as dreams are made on" after Shakespeare's "The Tempest" and orchestral music (including Affaire).
