Steffen Wolf's (*1971) recitation music is in the tradition of the Romantic melodrama and does not deny it, despite its contemporary tonal language. Rather, it plays with it, allowing forms from the time of the poet Christoph Martin Wieland (1733-1813) to appear and resound anew.
