The period instrument tonality is delectable, from the thwack of the natural timpani to the silkiness of the excellent string section. Paris-based Alpha Classics is a label that has, in my experience, issued consistently well produced CDs with top-notch recorded sound. This wonderful Mozart program is no exception.
