bastille musique presents its fifteenth release »Ludwig van Beethoven: Lieder« featuring Hans Christoph Begemann (baritone) and Thomas Seyboldt (piano). Besides the Gellert-Lieder and An die ferne Geliebte, the album includes a selection of Beethoven’s Goethe settings and lieder based on poems by Matthisson and Sauter. Recorded in co-production with the SWR, the set also contains a 64-page bilingual booklet (EN, DE) with articles by Janis El-Bira, Thomas Seyboldt, an interview with the singer, the complete lyrics and Beethoven’s Erlkönig autograph, as well as a photo leaflet of the artists and a picture of the composer.
