Marcus Bosch has already drawn attention to himself with highly acclaimed complete recordings of the symphonies of Johannes Brahms, Anton Bruckner and Antonin Dvorak on his regular label COVIELLO. He now completes the cycle of the four symphonies by Robert Schumann. His cappella aquileia has a comparatively slim cast, but allows for a quasi chamber music- light, transparent music-making, which allows the smallest nuances to come to the fore. Under the direction of Bosch, the verve and accuracy of the musicians let the two popular works shine with their harmonious tempi and become a touching, versatile experience!

The outer movements of the Rhenish are very exciting, but it’s actually the middle movements that left the strongest impression…The Spring has a wonderful youthful upbeat quality.
