This recording follows Samuel Andreyev's successful KAIROS debut from 2018. The Kyiv based Ukho Ensemble, conducted by Luigi Gaggero, works with soloists Maren Schwier and Dina Pysarenko in two newer pieces and presents four ensemble works dating from 2002 to 2011. The music of Samuel Andreyev, in spite of its nervous and fragmented vocabulary, succeeds in the alchemical mutation of our existential anguish and loss of presence to ourselves into a fascinating and vibrant listening experience.
