In some cases I actually preferred the duo-piano performances to the orchestral ones I had available for comparison, and I can recommend this disc as a valid and enjoyable way to hear this music.

Full of delights and well characterised throughout, the playing of Ivanova and Zagarinskiy produces a vivid range of keyboard colour... lovers of Russian music should snap up this album.
