Opening with the title track, guitarist Seth Josel almost always plays harmonics, drawing and blurring the line between natural and traditional tuning systems and reality and imagination. If We Knew the Sky points the listener's gaze upwards while the music both transforms and remains static simultaneously. Makan imagines paths not taken on Tender Illusions.
