Awards and reviews

  • The New York Times
    Recordings of the Year 2019

March 2020

It’s well worth spending time with this recording, Koh has collaborated with composers, who perform with her on this disc, to create a stimulating programme of duos inspired by topical social and emotional themes.

January/February 2020

Based on a 2018 recital of the same name, Jennifer Koh’s disc reveals true collaboration between artist and composer, with composers performing their own works in association with Koh, who worked in close collaboration with the composers as the works were being written. Issued as a twofer, this release represents true cutting-edge vision. The audio is superbly managed, thanks to Producer Judith Sherman and Engineer Charles Mueller.

The New York Times 12th December 2019

Violin lines emerge, as if from far away, to mingle with Ms. Du’s earthy, murmuring, sometimes choking voice. [On Du Yun's 'Give Me Back My Fingerprints'].
