This is a journey to the most inner self of a composer through the human breath that aspires to be the alter ego of the instrument and vice versa. Original interpreter and versatile artist, Roberto Fabbriciani has innovated flute technique, multiplying through personal research the instrument’s sonorous possibilities.

He has collaborated with some of the major composers of our time: Luciano Berio, Pierre Boulez, Sylvano Bussotti, John Cage and Elliot Carter amongst others, many of whom have dedicated numerous and important works that he performed at their premiers.

He worked for many years with Luigi Nono, in the experimental studio of the SWF in Freiburg, blazing new and unusual trails in music and has played as soloist with many orchestras and conductors over the years in most of the international concert halls, including the Royal Festival Hall in London. He has recorded several albums and has been professor of master classes at the University Mozarteum in Salzburg.
