This album of the score is filled with the familiar themes, stirring orchestral flurries and wistful musical meanderings that the show’s fans have come to know and love. The pomp is perhaps heightened in places, but Lunn’s talent for melodrama and mellow drama is as finely tuned as it ever has been. Downton has never sounded better.
