This CD features works from the early part of the 20th century that were written for the remarkable French flutist Georges Barrère. Lyrical and exciting, these works have found their way into the repertoire of many flutists. Leone Buyse is former principal flutist of the Boston Symphony and now teaches at Rice University in Houston, Texas.
