Bryce Dessner: El Chan
The Labèque sisters are excellent throughout but it is Dessner’s colourful post-minimal style that is making all the waves here.

About

• The Labeque Sisters are back with an album dedicated entirely to American composer Bryce Dessner, founder and guitarist of the rock band The National.

• Following in the steps of minimalist composers such as Philip Glass, John Adams and Steve Reich, Bryce Dessner has composed the Concerto for two pianos for the sisters. It was recorded at the Philharmonie de Paris in 2018 with Orchestre de Paris conducted by Matthias Pintscher.

• The album also includes the work El Chan for two pianos, and Haven for two guitars and two pianos.

• The album is dedicated to the film director Alejandro Gonzales Iñarittú (The Revenant, Babel...), who created the album cover artwork
