Orange Mountain Music is proud to announce the release of the new double album, PERPETULUM, by Grammy-winning percussion ensemble Third Coast Percussion. The new album features all new music including the world premiere recordings of new works by Philip Glass, Gavin Bryars, Peter Martin, and Robert Dillon. The centerpiece of the first disc is composer David Skidmore’s “Aliens of Extraordinary Abilities,” followed by a second disc chock full with new music including “BEND” by Peter Martins, Philip Glass’ newest piece of music, his late-2018 composition ‘Perpetulum’, Ordering-instincts” by Robert Dillon, and a new major work “The Other Side of the River” by Gavin Bryars. Third Coast Percussion is a Grammy-Award-Winning, artist-run quartet of classically-trained percussionists hailing from the great city of Chicago. For over ten years, the ensemble has forged a unique path in the musical landscape with virtuosic, energetic performances that celebrate the extraordinary depth and breadth of musical possibilities in the world of percussion.
