About

Acclaimed by the international music press as a 'virtuoso of astonishing brilliance' and a 'thoroughly poetic artist' (Dr Joachim Kaiser, Suddeutsche Zeitung). Awards and reviews

July 2019

In general a first-person narrative voice is missing throughout Borac’s solid performances. Not that solidity is to be despised…Borac manages some effective shaping and voicing, with a minimum of smudges and some pardonable hardness of tone. But there is little of the daredevil thrill that the finest accounts [of the Liszt] achieve here.

June 2019

Mozart in Love is a lively and intelligently- built programme. As its title suggests, the album is centred around the joint themes of Mozart and love, whether in the affectionate Rondo K511 commemorating the death of a friend, or variations on two decidedly un-PC, racy popular songs. [Liszt] Borac responds with playing of magnificent bravura and finesse. Bizet’s charming Serenade is a straightforward and relatively faithful transcription of ‘Deh! vieni alla finestra’.
