Awards and reviews

January/February 2020

The recorded sound is excellent, being rather closely miked but in no way claustrophobic or harsh. The booklet includes an essay by Ingo Dorfmüller, along with bios of the conductor and orchestra. I very much enjoyed the bracing renditions of familiar Mozart, as well as the fine performances of lesser-known works by Salieri who, after all, was a highly respected composer in his time. Recommended.
