About

Boston Baroque’s recordings of Henry Purcell’s Dido and Aeneas, the jointly-composed Der Stein Der Weisen (The Philosopher’s Stone), Christoph Gluck’s Iphigénie en Tauride, Mozart’s The Impresario and world premiere of The Beneficent Dervish by members of Mozart’s Circle are part of this specially-priced Classic Opera 6-CD set.

Telarc began recording a series of important Baroque and Classical repertoire with Boston Baroque in the early 90s, several of which were nominated for Grammys. Founded in 1973 by harpsichordist and conductor Martin Pearlman, Boston Baroque is the oldest period instrument group in North America.
