Rudolf Schock used his popularity for classical songs. He can claim to have also filled concert halls with such listeners, who were able to experience a classical song programme for the first time. RELIEF publishes here the eight orchestral songs of Strauss, Schumann's Dichterliebe and two programmes of selected songs recorded in 1957.
