Making their recording debut on Resonus Classics is Sonoro, one of the UK’s newest and most impressive chamber choirs, founded in 2016 by Neil Ferris and Michael Higgins.
Noted for their warmth of tone, rich blend of colours and vibrancy in performance, for their first recording Sonoro present sacred music by Frank Martin and James MacMillan, with a programme featuring Martin’s iconic Mass for Double Choir and a selection of works from MacMillan’s considerable contribution to the choral repertoire, including his powerful setting of the Miserere.
