The presentation and recording of Nordic Mass is the culmination of almost a decade’s work of immersion in and development of the great sacred tradition. Tranströmer’s compact expressions, vivid imagery and stark honesty are here matched by congenial harmonies and textually sensitive rhythmical structures by a world-class composer: Sven-David Sandström. The beautiful choral harmonies are punctuated by virtuosic cello interjections rendered with rhythmic intensity and touching beauty of tone by the acclaimed Danish cellist Toke Møldrup.
