For more than 30 years the Spanish soprano Pilar Lorengar was a beloved star at the ensemble of the Deutsche Oper Berlin. The documentary by Arturo Méndiz not only follows her artistic career but also tells the story of an unbelievably strong woman. Pilar Lorengar freed herself from the poorest circumstances in her birthplace, Zaragoza, and became an internationally acclaimed opera star.
