This monographic disk about Jesús Villa-Rojo is of great significance for the Spanish saxophone repertoire, due both to the quality of his works and the importance of the composer of La Alcarria in Spanish musical creation over the last 50 years. At the Sax-Ensemble Foundation we have approached this project with great enthusiasm and with the purpose of performing all his works for saxophone with depth and rigour. The disk comprises seven pieces of various periods, the oldest, Eclipse, dating back to 1982, and the version of Glosario IV for alto and tenor saxophones and recorded music dating from 2014.The other pieces are Lamento Version D, Divertimento II, Y Yo, Lineas Convergentes and Oracion Serena.
