About
The Berlin Piano Quartet return with an album of Mozart, Mahler and Schumann, recording their piano quartets together for the first time. The members of the Berlin Piano Quartet, Christophe Horak, Micha Afkham, Bruno Delepelaire and pianist Kim Barbier were brought together by one thing: a desire to develop the rarely played repertoire for piano quartet. The interpretations of the Berlin Piano Quartet are inspired by the musicians’ orchestral experience with the Berliner Philharmoniker, taking great care to approach their repertoire from a new, unusual perspective.

In the Schumann the outer movements have due effervescence.
