dB Productions is proud to present Lipparella's debut album. Lipparella was founded in 2008 - the members already being well-established musicians beforehand. Since the start, the group has specialized in contemporary works for baroque instruments and countertenor. This unusual profile has been determined by the creation of new works directly for the ensemble, which has been made possible through collaborations with a number of composers. Kent Olofsson's "Champs d'étoiles" is an hour-long musicals uite for counter-tenor recorder, baroque violin, viola da gamba and theorbo. "Based on a series of intense and religiously colored texts by Rimbaud, Rilke, and Hammarskjold and three anonymous reflections, which describes ecstatic revelations, Kent Olofsson created a suite of 17 statements that describe a musical and spiritual pilgrimage. Texts fascination with the heavens and life in general becomes a picture of our inner world of wealth and opportunities. By Olofsson's evocative and idiomatic use of older instruments, accompanied the song and the lyrics ofa varied chamber music game that constantly drives the music forward."
