Romantic through-and-through The wait is finally over: the Camerata Musica Limburg is releasing the second installment of their complete recording of Schubert’s works for male choir – the elite ensemble’s fifth CD for GENUIN. Under Jan Schumacher, the gentlemen’s voices are so mellow and smooth that we can only hope Schubert is up on his cloud relishing the harmonies, too. From “Song of the spirits over the waters” to “Good night,” each song is more beautiful than the last. And this time as well, the instrumental and vocal soloists (like Christoph Prégardien and Veronika Hagen) make no small contribution. With singing like this, we’ll be soaring in the skies…
