About
Krzysztof Penderecki’s works for string instruments constitute a rather abundant group of compositions of different forms and genres. The selection presented on the CD comprises concerto pieces created at various stages of the composer’s creative path. They display diverse aspects concerning Penderecki’s change of style and they also indicate the cohesion of his global approach to the instrumental concerto, a 20th and 21st century phenomenon.
