This CD concludes the series of concerts at the Walcker Organ of St. Anne’s in Annaberg-Buchholz.
After a period of restoration, from 1995 the organ can be heard in its original sound. Its stylistic disposition appears as ideal for French as well as for German romantic organ music, but also the baroque repertoire can be attractively interpreted, as the previous recordings of this series show.
For this third volume Matthias Süß demonstrates the fantastic potential of the organ for modern and post-romantic compositions.
