[This performance] shares many of the qualities of earlier releases in the series, notably the committed playing of the Hamburg orchestra as well as Young's confident navigation of Bruckner's symphonic architecture. Tempi are well judged throughout, the Scherzo in particular enjoying an easy forward momentum without the stridency that affects some performances.
