The highly honoured Colin Mawby is one of today’s most successful composers of sacred choral music. The former music director of Westminster Cathedral and founder of a new Irish tradition of chant is highly estimated for his sonority influenced by the Gregorian school and being far from all contemporary aesthetic schools, for the creation of a highly sensitive and accessible sound world.

Challenging the interpreters, but nevertheless featuring the viability within liturgical practice the musician created an incredibly huge oeuvre. This CD gives an impression of this musical richness and variety. Two mass compositions are presented as well as several psalm compositions and other sacred chants.
