Composer, Zvonimir Nagy, is Croatian born, but is now resident in Pittsburgh. His music has won several awards, and received performances by the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra, Seattle Symphony, soloists and chamber ensembles. Through his music, Zvonimir Nagy explores morphologies that reflect that fine line between tradition and innovation.

The piano works on this MSR Classics disc are shared between the composer, Geoffrey Burleson and Mabel Kwan. Beginning with of the lake I (2007 revised 2014) and ending with of the lake II (2014), the programme forms a loop that can be endlessly repeated.
