The Salagon Quartet was founded in 2004 by four experienced and passionate chamber musici- ans who perform with chamber orchestras and ensembles specialising in the music of the 18th century throughout the world. Their ideal sound and interpretation is transparent, eloquent, colourful and is grounded in their use of period instruments with gut strings and period bows, as well as in their involvement with historically informed performance practice as it has developed over the last decades.
