A complete service capturing the timeless beauty of the English Choral tradition, including organ voluntaries, hymns, lessons and prayers. This recording attempts to recreate the atmosphere of a typical Choral Evensong service such as takes place daily in Wells Cathedral. For this reason the content is not slanted towards any particular Festival or Season of the Church's year but covers a wide range of historical periods and stylistic moods.
