About
The Symphony No.3 premiered on the 15. January 1904 and is a musical image of the seasons of the year. It is so permeated with a Polish flavour that one cannot help comparing it with Wladyslaw Reymont's novel Chlopi which was written at the same time based on the same concept. By extrolling the Polish countryside and customs Noskowski could express his patriotic sentiments in a form that did not provoke the Tsarist cencors.
