There is no denying that a vast time gap separates the Baroque violin and the accordion. Indeed, when the accordion made its first appearance at the start of the 20th century, the musical aesthetics of the Baroque had lost its cultural impetus for more than a century, and the violin had already acquired its modern features. The name Duo Incoerente and the title So far and so close of the CD mirror the disparity between the chronological gap between the two instruments and their remarkable affinity.
