About

János Végh (1845-1918) is ranked as a composer among the musicians of conservative romanticism. The discovery in manuscript form of the three string quartets is due to the interest and zeal of the Authentic Quartet. Playing on period instruments, the quartet have built up a steady following of music lovers who enjoy their performances of 18th and 19th century Central European and Hungarian musical rarities.
