Poetry, pearly sound, mercurial intelligence: Pressler's hallmarks are out in force here. The Grande Polonaise doesn't quite work, but the Piano Concerto No. 1's 'Romance' is gorgeous.

About
Menaham Presser’s career was launched following the first prize at the Debussy International Piano Competition in San Francisco in 1946. His successful American debut with the Philadelphia Orchestra under Eugene Ormandy was followed by extensive tours of North America and Europe. In 1955 Menaham Pressler founded the Beaux Arts Trio with violinist Daniel Guilet and cellist Bernard Greenhouse. The Trio continued for 50 years and was unquestionably one of the most prominent and respected chamber groups of all time. He is still active and maintains busy schedules. This release is volume 2 of his work in the Legendary Treasures series on DOREMI and is presented at a special price – 2 for the price of 1.
