About
The Serbian composer Marko Nikodijevic was born in 1980. He studied under Srdjan Hofman and Zoran Eric in Belgrade and, from 2003, with Marco Stroppa in Stuttgart. Variations and different techniques of electronic and computer-aided composition, along with the collection and use of musical fragments, are typical of his creative work. Whether it be splinters of the European musical tradition from Gesualdo to Ligeti or fragments from folk songs, Nikodijevic explores a world of sometimes intensively expressive slowness, injecting his personal voice of untiring sound.
