About
Born in Worms, Germany, Gernsheim was in contact with some of the most famous musical personalities of the time: Liszt, Saint-Saëns, Rossini, and Rubinstein.
He wrote four magnificent symphonies, the first and third of which are presented here. This is thoroughly Romantic music and reflects Gernsheim’s travels across Europe.
