For this recording, which marks the 250th anniversary of Franz Danzi’s birth, the orchestre le phénix discovered Danzi’s first two flute concertos in archives along with three overtures , which have now been ressurrected again after approximately 200 years. The overtures were composed at intervals of 15 years and these works reflect the personal development in Danzi’s music.
