About
Christian Jost (1963) composed Requiem Trilogy so that each of the three concertos has its own form and structure, independent of the overall theme. Thus the idea of a requiem consisting of solo concertos developed – a requiem without text, without a liturgical connection or ritual. The musician acting as soloist is the vehicle for the form and content of this purely instrumental requiem. An important release in the world of contemporary classical music.
