Continuing their series of Gunther Raphael’s compositions, Querstand is proud to release Volume 5.
As with previous volumes, Raphael’s works can be categorised into an early, middle and late period and this disc shows the style of his compositions from 1924-1956.
The works on this disc are all Concertini: two of them released here for viola and flute and the Concertine op. 71 for alto saxophone and orchestra, also released on their Volume 1.
