[Pirolli] draws an honourable response from the chorus and orchestra...Theodossiou, as expected, does not withhold anything, which does not mean that it is a matter of volume, volume, volume only...This present Greek lady is an intense performer.

Whilst [Theodossiou's] odd note may be sour, her tone never unduly hardens and is, on the whole, satisfyingly rich. She gives her all and creates a viable and realistically acted and sung creation.
