About
With their debut recording, the Leipzig-based ensemble Thios Omilos give an insight into the sacred music of Jacobus Gallus, Hans Leo Hassler, and Johann Hermann Schein. Hassler’s “Missa Dixit Maria” is at the heart of this production, while the foundations of the Christian faith as well as the main liturgical feasts Christmas, Easter, and the Ascension of Christ form its liturgical framework.
