Awards and reviews

Christmas 2012

The soft-grained baritone of Quirijn de Lang, with its somewhat cloudy vowels, is well-suited to [Nacht und Grab], sung over what is virtually a piano nocturne, beautifully played by Sholto Kynoch...Mary Bevan's feisty soprano draws vivid character cameos of the larger-than-lief women featured in Wolf's six Keller settings

October 2012

Supported by the knowing pianism of Sholto Kynoch, Bevan and her unaffected soprano voice create a clear compass, especially when the youthful Wolf needs clarification...De Lang has an exceptional emotional availability to whatever any given song demands...Most important, both singers are the sorts of vocal companions that one enjoys hearing over a long Lieder disc.
