Franz Schreker: Der Holdestein

Choral Works

Konrad Elsner (piano)

Orpheus Vokalensemble, Michael Alber

Gottwald is well known for his imaginative treatments and so it proves here. These three songs – although some of the shortest on the disc – are the most memorable by some distance.
